First off I am in love with Super Bowl Sunday.  Any day that celebrates a game with good food, great friends and commercials I am in!  It is an excuse to clean the house, buy those extras at the grocery store you normally walk by and say, “We don’t need that.”  This weekend is the ticket, buy and eat what you want!

So I love…….

I LOVE that I have been invited to Huffingington Post LIVE tomorrow for an interview on “The beauty of parenting a special needs child” cause there is whole lotta beauty to be talked about!  The interview is tomorrow Monday at 3:00pm CST and you can set an alert to remind you when the segment starts!

Last but not least I love heroic women who are survivors like Heather and awesome husbands who celebrate those beautiful wives!  We will be celebrating Lungleavin Day right along side this family!  Celebrate with us!  You can read the note Cameron, Heathers husband sent me!

My name is Cameron Von St. James and I was wondering if you’d be willing to help me with a cause that means a lot to me!

Eight years ago, my wife Heather was diagnosed with mesothelioma; a rare cancer that kills most people within 2 years of diagnosis.  She had just given birth to our daughter Lily, and was only given 15 months to live.  After a life saving surgery that included the removal of her left lung, LungLeavin’ Day was born.  This will be the 8th year that we celebrate on February 2nd!

The purpose of LungLeavin’ Day is to encourage others to face their fears!  Each year, we gather around a fire in our backyard with our friends and family, write our biggest fears on a plate and smash them into the fire.  We celebrate for those who are no longer with us, for those who continue to fight, for those who are currently going through a tough time in their life, and most importantly, we celebrate life!

This year, we are asking bloggers to participate and spread the word about LungLeavin’ Day.  We created an interactive page mesothelioma.com/heather/lungleavinday that tells the full story of our special day.  We hope you will check it out and share it on your blog.  It would mean so much to Heather and I.  Let me know what you think.

Thank you so much,

Cameron Von St. James
